Summary of Event
2023 is an important year for the Anim Foundation. Our first annual scholarship fund event was held at Wilma’s Tea Cosy in Valley Cottage, New York. The foundation selected five recipients for the award: Howard Figueroa-Flores, Rodrigo A. Arteaga, Taylor Stevens, Randie Davis and Marym Ahmed from Spring Valley High School. To be considered for the scholarship, they wrote essays describing their backgrounds, extracurricular activities, volunteer service, and academic achievements. They were each awarded $1,000 towards college expenses.
The Anim Foundation second annual walk will be held next year in August 2024. Additionally, next year’s scholarship award recipients will be chosen from the Bronx, New York, where Dr. Martin Anim practiced medicine for more than thirty years.
